by | Feb 24, 2019 | Strengths

Gallup® defines this theme as people who have “certain core values that are unchanging. Out of these values emerges a defined purpose for their lives.”

You offer stability

Your high standards are often expressed clearly in a black-and-white fashion and not gray. People around you know what you stand for. Even if it makes you unpopular.

Often with high ethics and values, your underlying core values can bring stability to others in a world of ongoing change.

Your belief is often tied to a cause, passion, or purpose which will guide your decisions in life.

You love altruism

Pouring your passion into work that makes people’s lives better is key. You need a mission to live out and selflessly serve.

Your values and beliefs drive you and having value-driven targets, where you know what’s expected and why.

You have a willingness to sacrifice yourself for your beliefs if they are important.

Others trust you

With the transparency and consistency that your beliefs bring you and others you’re often viewed as dependable and trustworthy.

Seeking roles and projects that fit your values such as aligning with businesses that fit your values will help you live out your mission.

Contributing to the community is important to you so think about joining organizations that share your purpose and vision.

Stay true to your values

When you’re involved in projects that important to you, you’ll bring a persistence, strong opinions and a long-term commitment to the values that matter to you.

It is important to you that you stay true to your values and have an understanding of the outcome and audience for projects that you’re involved in.

Continually observe and inquire into which values stay true to you no matter what.

Connect what’s important to you and your values to your legacy and how that will influence others. Keeping in mind that they too have their beliefs.

Be transparent

Because your values are strong, find people and communities that share the same, or similar values.

When you’re aligned with your purpose you’re deeply connected.

Allow yourself to be heard and seen. Be you.

Speak up on what you know to be true as you align with and live your values.
