Saturday morning thought.
This week, I talked about cutting priorities and hiring for strengths.
But here’s something to consider.
You can’t do either if you don’t know your own strengths first.
What I see happening
I’ve watched founders hire people just like them.
Sales leaders who love the chase hire more hunters when they need farmers.
Strategic thinkers surround themselves with planners when they need doers.
Then they wonder why there are gaps.
Where it starts
You can’t build a balanced team if you don’t know what you bring and what drains you.
When you’re clear on your strengths, you stop hiring clones.
You start looking for people who fill the gaps and see your business differently.
What changes
That’s when the magic happens.
Your team stops competing for the same space.
They start complementing each other.
Less friction.
More flow.
Start here
Ask yourself:
Do I actually know what I’m naturally great at?
We often know what we don’t enjoy.
For some of you, start there.
When you’re clear on your strengths, it changes everything about how you lead, delegate, and build.
Reflection
What’s one thing you’d happily do 24/7?
If you’re feeling off your game or your leadership edge isn’t where you want it to be, the next step is at the top of the page.
