At some point, you have to decide it's done.
Not perfect.
Done.
That's a surprisingly difficult distinction when you can always see one more thing to tweak, improve, move, rewrite, or rethink.

Knowing when to stop
With two books heading out into the world in 3 days, I've learned to stop when it aligns. Once it felt final, it was final. No tweaking for over a month. I let it go.
There's something freeing about trusting that you did what you set out to do. That doesn't mean you couldn't keep improving it. You probably could.
It means knowing when you don't need to.
