Many of us set targets for 2026 the same way we’ve always done it.
Then wonder why nothing changes.
A different starting point
Here’s what I’m doing differently this year.
I’m prioritizing my vision.
The version of my business and leadership that’s aligned with the outcome I desire.
The daily question
Then I ask one question every day before anything else.
What action can I take today to step closer to this vision?
Focusing on what moves me toward the future I want takes one to five minutes to set the day’s priorities.
What shifts when you’re clear
When you’re clear on where you’re going, decisions get easier.
You stop saying yes to things that don’t matter.
Tasks that don’t move anything forward.
You start building momentum that feels good.
Why vision matters
Vision-first leadership doesn’t skip strategy.
It connects to something bigger than hitting a number.
Your team knows why they’re showing up, not just what they’re chasing.
Before you set targets
Before you roll out Q1 targets, ask yourself:
What’s the vision those targets are serving?
If you can’t answer that clearly, start there.
Reflection
What’s one action you can take today that moves you closer to your vision?
If you’re feeling off your game or your leadership edge isn’t where you want it to be, the next step is at the top of the page.
