You haven't suddenly forgotten how to lead.
You're still smart, experienced, and good at what you do. And yet, something's off.
Decisions that once felt almost instinctive take longer. You second-guess things you wouldn't have thought twice about before. Your confidence isn't gone, but it doesn't show up quite as easily as it once did.
What if nothing needs fixing?
I've watched this happen to capable leaders throughout my career, and I've seen how easy it is to assume something needs to be fixed.
Maybe you need a new strategy or a different approach. Maybe you need to change.
But what if you don't?
Roles change. Expectations grow. Pressure builds. And without realizing it, you can move further away from the strengths and instincts that come naturally to you.
They're still there.
Reconnecting with what is already yours
Sometimes you simply need to reconnect with how you operate at your best.
Not to become the leader you used to be, or some better version of yourself, but to bring more of what is already yours into the leader you are today.
It's one of the ideas I explore in Get Sold on Yourself!, arriving August 25.
When did things start feeling harder than they used to?
And what changed?
